Angela
started her journey in health care in her sophomore year of high school, working the summer as a nursing assistant. Having fallen in love with nursing but wanting to explore the world, she enlisted in the US Army. At the age of 18, she was one of the very first females accepted into the United States Army Quartermaster School in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where she graduated with the highest military commendations. In high school, Angela wanted to pursue a career teaching voice in music but opted to strive toward a business degree instead. In the process of her business degree , her heart was still tugged by a desire for nursing, and she dual-majored in business and nursing . Angela received her BSN and MBA with minors in marketing and advertising from William Carey University. “Expect Great Things from God; Attempt Great Things for God.” Angela has spent her nursing career in post – acute care with many of the premier health care leaders, holding positions from DON, Regional and Divisional Consultant, Vice President, CNO, CFO, CEO, to COO. She is specifically proud to have been part of Gran Care, Mariner, Golden Living, Genesis, Signature Healthcare, Vanguard Healthcare, Medical Home Team, and Polaris Group. Angela has been the owner and CEO of Starr Consulting since 1997 as a Certified Legal and LTC RN Consultant CEO/Owner. Her expertise in post-acute care has covered almost all aspects of health care. Her talents in the senior living arena for clinical , operational, and financial turnarounds have been well proven. She has also been noted to jump on board very quickly with challenging new ventures. For several decades, Angela has also been a key player in assisting attorneys in litigating wrongful death cases related to long-term care and is considered an expert in her field for mitigating damages as well as proactive risk management strategies. In 2020 , Angela entered the automobile business and purchased a used car dealership. In February 2022 , she became the CEO/Owner. She organized a lending organization catering to the BHPH sector of auto dealers and was later appointed as the CFO by the Board of Directors for Southern Banking Group in May 2023. She is an active voice for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and speaks globally with the United Network for Organ Sharing. Angela is well known as an avid Harley rider, extreme hunter, and fisherman. Additionally, Angela is well known as a significant influencer and entrepreneur. Angela declares her greatest life accomplishments to be her son, David Bond, and his wife, April ; her granddaughters, Chloee, Callyn, Cassidee Bond; and her only grandson, Ryland Foster. While she originally desired to be a voice music teacher, she contends that, over the years, her musical heart has been fulfilled in her role as the “Voice” for her patients, families , and organizations while driving our ever-changing health care melodies.
